NDI HMDI Spark Frame squashed (ratio)

I have an HDMI Spark that I'm connecting to our HD-4 mini Tricaster with wireless NDI. When I look a the video output on configuration webpage (gear) of the Spark, the video looks fine. When I look at the output of the camera in the Tricater OR the NDI Studio Monitor the frame is squashed and appears to be closer to a 4:3 ratio. I've updated the NDI | HX drivers and I've also updated the firmware of the Spark and I'm seeing the same problem. Has anyone else seen this problem? We used the Spark last year with NO issues. The only change I can think of is we are switching to the 1080i/60 session setting instead of the 1080/30.

If you open the Spark's NDI output in NDI Studio Monitor, it will tell you what resolution it is receiving in the title bar, it would be interesting to know what that says. I have a Canon Vixia camera (low end) that when connected to the Spark outputs at 480 resolution (SD). When I take this into my TriCaster, it puts it in SD resolution at 4x3. I can use a M/E to stretch it back to 16x9.

Are you using it with a Canon Camera? Some of their cameras refuse to handshake with Spark at anything other than SD resolutions.

Right now I have a Canon VIXIA HF G20 connected to it. I'll try to other Canon VIXIA HF G21

The problem I have with my Vixia is when I connect the HDMI all of the settings to control the output disappear and the camera forces to 720x480 resolution. I think the problem is that the camera only supports 1080i output (PF30 and PF24 are still really 1080i) and the Spark HDMI supports 1080p and 720p. Standard Definition video is the only resolution they share in common.

Switching to the G21 fixed the issue.
