    Cat Etching

I saw a photo today of a kitten or cat laser etched in glass so I thought I would try something similar. I made a box and boolean the face of a cat in the box. made a nother box to make the back of the glass and surfaced them with 2 surfaces. One thw glass box and the other the cat face. Now using a glass surface on both objects with slightly different parameters. How would you make the object look right or am I setting up wrong? I would appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks in advance

If you use the dielectric material on both, you could then dial up the roughness for the eched area and leave the non-eched surface smoother.
