    NDI and a VPN

Will NDI run over a VPN if you have a solid connection between the two endpoints?

I tested this on an iPhone on 4G and the video was really choppy...

Technically it is possible, but there are a questions here and you will probably just need to try it. What kind of bandwidth do you get thru the tunnel?

Most VPN will not pass mutlicast traffic which will block NDI discovery. You would need to use Access Manager to get sources to see each other.

Ultimately, you might find something like Sienna Cloud for NDI or Medialook's Video Transport an easier solution to get running for what you are doing.
