Question TCMINI MOV video recordings different length than WAV audio recordings of same event

    Hi folks,

Some colleagues of mine are having a chronic problem, where 2-3-hour MOV event recordings from the TC Mini will import normally into Premiere Pro CC and seem to function normally, but when attempting to synchronize WAV audio recordings of the same event (foreign language translations), the WAV files end up 2-3 seconds out of sync at the end.

The WAV files were recorded simultaneously during the event, and so there would appear to be an issue with the MOV file-- or perhaps some issue with it in Premiere Pro?

HD recordings from a Canon XA25 sync perfectly with the WAV files beginning to end.

The unit is a TC Mini HD 4SDI running AE.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks so much...

I had a similar problem to this and I converted the wav file to mp3 and it worked fine.

Hmmm thanks Squarewulf....it's hard for me to understand how that would help, since an .mp3 is not lossless. Also, we want to maintain the timing of all video which does not have any sync problems.

....could the problem have anything to do with variable bitrate for audio or video?
