My understanding is that Faceshift no longer exists, as it was bought by Apple.

As I understand it, the tech is now incorporated into iPhone, so you would now need something like this, which I believe is compatible with Lightwave.

I Managed to download and install Faceshift 1.1.05 - I would be interested to make this work

I just managed to get a copy of Faceshift 2015 x64bit to test with LW 2015.3 as in the video showcase above but cant find any notes on how to do this but we can clearly see the result is quite amazing and it works perfectly..

maybe we can ask this guy for a tutorial ?

    @ 3dhotshot - What camera are you using ?

    Tutorials:-
I assumed that it would be straight forward process - just connecting in the camera and testing the tracking points etc
    there are other utube vids

But I wasn't sure what camera to get?

I'd be very grateful for any info of how people are getting hold of Faceshift today so I can also join the fun, or is it a case of cough, cough, cough ??

Its a piece of cake... you just export the "example" mesh in faceshift, via fbx... model the same set of morfs on your character in LW, and copy over the morf mixer. Done.

But FS is basically dead, you can only get old cracks now, and the depth cameras that work with it are old hat too, if you can manage to get one of those.

Better to just get the iphoneX if you want this now.

Many thanks Craig. I hope you don't mind me asking, but is Face Factory still in development. Your gorilla animation was amazing and I enjoyed Kev's quick demo too.

@TheLexx - You might be getting confused here between RebelHill's - 'Face Factory Rig tools' and 'FaceShift'.
The video you referenced was using the RebelHill face factory plugin - not expertly I admit but was a useful exercise for me

    just to clarify :
RebilHill - FaceFactory rigging tools use native Lightwave Bones/controllers
    https://forums.newtek.com/showthread...ht=facefactory

FaceShift - works on a different principal - generating and Tracking points from analysing video
I think Originally developed by Faceshift AG and Autodesk in 2013.
