https://open3dmodel.com/ al lot of free models, lots of game character models, vehicles etc..can be searched with lwo, and obj filters..many of the cooler ones 3d max formats though, but a lot of others in obj format for simple people etc.

https://archive3d.net also some free models...as the above link, the site doesn´t require account login, just download the files you want, keep track of where they came from etc.

One day when I have gathered enough stamina to endure the long rendertime in VPR, but checking the fastest fur render between Blender and Lightwave in on the schedule.
otherwise open paint3d and furthest away to the right you should have library icon click on that and surch for monkey..there are a few of those, then try fiberfx yourself.

These days ...following the trends, one should put fur on to a little lion cub I guess, couldn´t find any zimba look alike, but the grown up lions are there.
Check circle of life, one scenefile with dog, cat, rat, male lion and a lepard., scale the root up to 1000 since they are very smal in fbxl compared to lw format.

The heatwave over europe is hitting us these upcoming days, so I will try and jump in to bed within a couple of minutes before it will be to hot to sleep, I had the option of borrowing a portable airconditioner from my sister today
but I thought it will only be a couple of days, then I will be having the machine standing in my way mostly, so a fan and some bottles of water in the fridge..that should do fine.
