LW Instances to Unreal or Unity

    Hello everybody,

I have a shortfilm full of instances than now I'm turning into a VR experience, all the static instances like grass and trees can be easily remade in Unreal or Unity without any problem, but I have one shot of an instances explosion that need a full conversion from LW to Unreal or Unity, at the moment I dont know any way do it, appart from remade the scene from zero, I wonder if anyone have a good solution or advice, thank you for your help.

You can see the shortfilm here: https://vimeo.com/channels/saikistudio/84373930

Do you happen to have OD Tools? You can bake instances / animation to objects. Then probably FBX it out. Not sure how many instances you have, but maybe look into this: https://vimeo.com/album/4335852/video/246017248 Plus he has hundreds of other useful tools.

Or... this for Unreal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3P9v79TIY0 (if you are using LW 2019)

    Great Advice

Thank you very much MummyMan, I dont have OD Tools so I'm going to check it now, I used LW 2015 but I'm planning to move to 2019, and yes I have a lot of instances, my machine already crash when try the old pyton script "MG_bake_selected_instancers_GN", I tried it with a small number of instences and it works fine, but not with all activated, so I will try some of your recomendations, thanks again.

Good luck! It's tough working in multiple software packages.. .and multiple versions of software sometimes.
