Setting Tricaster Output to stream via NDI

Apologies for what may be a very basic question. I am operating a Tricaster 410, in a studio setting on a network ,with an Editshare RAID as the storage medium.

I want to stream a live program from our studio to Zoom (and also other platforms like YouTube) and save it simultaneously to Editshare.

I understand that the idea is to get the Tricaster to stream to the network, and then use this streamed output as material for a PC running Windows 10 to connect to Zoom etc

But, I have not got past the first hurdle!

I am having problems setting-up the output (in DDR1) to stream via the NDI connection on our network.

The nature of the 410 is that when I "Start a Session", there is no access to Windows. So how do I make the DDR1 output the NDI stream? Is it about the destination in the Publication Cue?

I am lost so any simple help would be good.

    Thanks,

    Chris

So, let me rephrase what you have said to see if I understand the question. For your show you want to record the program out of your 410 into your Editshare storage while outputting program out to Xoom? Is that correct? If so what you are asking is incredibly easy. Simply map your storage as a shared network drive within windows and set that as your record path within your TriCaster session. Then install NDI tools on a Windows 10 PC and run NDI Virtual Camera. Once you have Ndi Virtual Camera running select the NDI output from your 410. Launch Xoom and choose the NewTek NDI source for both audio and video. Start your Xoom call, hit record on your TriCaster and you should be good to go.

Thanks Zane. The Editshare storage is already mapped as a shared network drive and a path (the path) for the Tricaster.

When you say "Virtual Camera", am I right in thinking that its called "Virtual Input" in the NDI 3.8 Tools?

What I am not clear about is whether I run that in the "Exit to Windows" area on the Tricaster, or on another PC on the network.

And when you say "Select the NDI Output from your 410", where do I find that on the Tricaster?

Again, sorry if this is really dumb.

    Regards

    Chris

It would help to know what version software is installed on your TC410.

We are running Standard Version Software. Not 100% sure how to ask it to tell me the version number. It's the end of the working day here in the UK. So, I may not see any reply for 14 hours or so...

All TriCasters running current versions of software output their program row via NDI. So, you will run NDI Virtual Input on your external PC running Xoom. Never run any other software on your TriCaster.
