if it is, then LightWave has been used.

doesn't necessarily mean it was used to animate or render something complex. (features over 2,000 effects shots)

that said, hard to find 3d related info on that movie.

No matter who made it, it's funny as hell. I'm not giving away spoilers. Little messed up, too. LOL.

The following people worked on it and they all have strong backgrounds in LightWave. So if you run into any of them (or Steve), I suppose you ask them if LightWave 3D was used in part or at all:
    Bruce Branit
    Joe Clasen
    Jeremy Hunt
    Susan Ishida
    Chris Watts

That was actually done by Jeff Lew. At the time, in the early 2000's, he released an Animation training series for the program he uses Animation:Master. I ate it up as a kid, because I was using the same program (it's awful btw, but cheap). I remember him explaining his first real animation gig, after releasing his short animation Killer Bean, which was the cow fight scene for Kung Pow. After that he was also known for animating the fight scene in the courtyard in The Matrix Reloaded. He was a bit of an inspiration to me at the time, because he taught himself everything and got so far in the business. No clue what happened to him though, he seems to have quit doing it as a career.

Anyway! No, for that scene he used Animation:Master...
