    I guess I'll do okay. I have the GTX 1080. But I wish I could use the GPU more comprehensibly and natively.
    System:

    i7-8086K / GTX 1080 / 32GB RAM

    with a new geometry engine (LW2018 / LW2019) i wonder why the speed is so slow compared to other apps though.

    anyone knows?

    Open GL remains a painful place in the lw for many years and unfortunately the new modification of the program has changed little - should you add a couple of objects to the scene to the animated character - after a while the display performance drops sharply. I watch it every day.

    Not exactly sure what your point is erikals. Are you using an Nvidia Titan RTX?

    nope, wondering however if others have found the fps for 2019 in that test to be correct.

    no big deal though, atm.

    edit;
    just tested using fps in LW2018.01 using Fraps http://www.fraps.com/download.php

    - the fps is at 260 fps when moving/rotating 1 Falcon (0.8mill polys)
    - the fps is at 70 fps when moving/rotating 9 Falcons (7.5mill polys)

    so, a better result that one would think perhaps. (LW2018.01 and GTX 660Ti)

    here, the result from the CGchannel LW2019 test, which seemed a bit slow
    probably not incorrect (?), but LW seems to have about the same fps speed with much more dense geometry.

    edit2; yeah, guess LW2019 is a tad slower...
