Facebook to Retire RTMP May 1, 2019

Hi Folks,

If you have a Facebook live event scheduled for May 1 or shortly thereafter you will want to be cognizant of the upcoming changes. As of May 1 2019 you must use an updated Facebook authorized app or RTMPS (the secure variant of RTMP) or your stream will not work. If you have an older encoder you will want to pay close attention to this.

It may have started already. I went to check on this yesterday and Facebook had switched the stream to a RTMPS one by itself. They did have a handy warning though...
