This looks pretty darn amazing. So, if I give it a try, would a rendered sequence be denoised during each frame? Does this work over a render farm? Or take the full rendered sequence into Lightwave after and denoise it that way? Thanks Denis!
Gave it a quick install / try. Nice and fast! I guess I'm a little confused on the buffers, hookups and exports. It only applies the denoise to the final image? Not each buffer? Say if my SSS was causing the noise... that buffer still looks noisy..
The node applies the denoise to the Color input, so it can be applied to a specific buffer,
must be checked in the node editor panel, in that case of course,
you don't get directly the recomposed final image.
Like for final image the node can be plugged to a Color Global Buffer input,
this option must be checked too for seeing the inputs in the root,
for saving the Global Buffer, add a GetGlobalBuffer node,
no need to connect it, just open its panel, check the proper GBuffer to save,
its colorspace, finename, destination directory.
Denis.
Oh.. ok. that helps. Thanks Denis.
About animation sequence,
OIDN is not temporal yet, don't know for the future,
that means no guaranty of stability over frames,
this should be tested with higher number of samples.
Denis.
Could someone please do a little step by step guide on how to install this plugin. I can't for the life of figure out how to put the .ddl in the bin sequence.
