OpenVDB Tools, Creating static advection deformation on fog volume?

Just thought I should check if someone knows this directly..otherwise I would have to research it myself..which sometimes helps you understand things and solve things by yourself.
Though Ivé been sick for a while and thus I am trying to cut time down in learning the 2019 version before the 30 days is over.

Do you guys know a way of adding the advection tools in openVDB in a way so that it is staticly deforming on frame 1 and frames ahead?
As I see it know, it only goes through the velocity grid and does the advection over time, I want it fixed in a certain way at frame 1 and frames ahead.

the standard noise appliance will not work in the same manner, it will only cut textures in the volume, not deforming the volume.

    So any ideas?

    Hi,
only thing that comes in my mind is to save the VDB on a particulare frame and load it back again (with the "Saver" - node).

I use two pieces of the three-piece application with mocap module.

Thanks thomas, I will try that for a starter.
I suspect it will however exlude cloud animation.

I did not test it, but you can save one frame or an animation (what is in reality a sequence of VDB files). What I would like to see is a "VDB player" with time control to retime the animation of loaded VDBs.
