Making fonts for TC850 ON A MAC?

Since NewTek isn't going to make anything that allows output from a Mac product to the older TriCasters, what are you using to get stuff into an 850? PR4444 works fine on our 8000, but there's nothing Ive found that works on the 850 other than the old SpeedHQ codecs, which Apple is undoubtedly going to disable in the future.

As an aside, does anyone know why the 850 can't use PR4444 files?

I believe all the Tricasters of that era require any video imports to be transcoded through the import process to a Tricaster-friendly codec. We have a 460, and need to let the unit transcode anything we import for playback.
    Tricaster 460
    HD-SDI over coax
    JVC 890 x 2
    Panasonic 370 x 1

Tried that. Exported to a 4444 codec, used the import tool and the imported videos would not play. The good news is that the SpeedHQ codec still shows up as an option in Compressor, but for how long.... Once they inevitably drop it, we mac people are done unless NewTek comes up with something.
