*Control recording of up to 12 (on an 8000; count decreases on other models) channels of video (some of these are actually captured on the remote device, but are available locally for replay, etc.) in total that can be any combination of the following:

    • 4x internal recordings in high bit-rate, high quality format.
    • Up to 8 (XD8000 only) more external recordings that can be a) captured locally from an NDI|HX device (in H.264), or b) remotely on a Spark configured for capture on an SD card or connected USB storage, or c) remotely on a device (such as an NC1 IO) that supports remote control in high hit-rate, high quality format.
    • High quality (i.e., not the H.264) formats - internal or remote - include the ability to playback growing files (for replays, for example).
    • Also record an additional two channels of H.264 up to 100Mbit (?) and at any resolution and frame-rate.

    * By "control", I mean you can initiate recording to the external system connected to a TriCaster input.

My apologies for the confusion. I'll continue to try to refine this post for better clarity.
So to make sure I understand correctly, if you had an NC1 In that was recording to a USB hard drive connected to it, you would be able to initiate replay from the Tricaster of those NDI sources?

I'll see if I can whip together a quick update video on what is new in AE3 in the next week.

I beleive that is true, yes, assuming these NDI sources are connected from the NCI in to the TriCaster

I repeat my question. SBowie, Kanep, Spaulsen?

Does this update enable TriCaster Pro-Line, to access "Premium access tools" , like KVM, LiveGraphics, LivePanel and Virtual PTZ ??

After installing AE3 I can't get it to work with a watermark. It keep asking me for a serial number.

Premium Access is currently only available for the TC1 and VMC1, I can't speak to future development.

I would like to see what it does for use 460 users. The features showing what AE3 will do does not show what the 460 users will get.

P.S., in a probably vain attempt at further clarity, I should mention that you cannot independently trigger recording of individual sources. As before, it's 'all for one and one for all' ...

Sorry, Moshe - I went right to the source on this yesterday, but I the info was in the nature of 'probably' ... feel free to open a Fogbugz case requesting this.

AE3 is everything AE2 had, plus a bunch of new stuff - touch screen support, LiveMatte Pro, ExpressMode, and so on as listed in features. 460/860/8000 users will get ALL of that. The only limitations would be for Mini and 410 users, who do NOT get - 4 DSKs, Animated Comps, maybe Edge Feather - and that is actually no different than using AE 2 on those same machines, nothing has changed there.

With 460, you should have everything listed here: https://www.newtek.com/tricaster/adv...tion/in-depth/

And with AE in general, 860/8000 get 12 inputs, while Mini/410/460 have 8 inputs (mix and match physical and NDI sources)

    Thanks

I will work on highlighting any specific features that will not be available on specific models.
