Setting Private LAN for TC and Newtk PTZ Cams

Is this possible and how would I go about doing so:
    T/C 460 AE latest software
    (2) NDIHX-PTZ1
    Cat 6 cables
    Tripp-Lite POE Ethernet Switch
Other production gear (audio mix, SDI cams, etc)
Looking to add the ptz cams to the mix without connecting the TC to the internet.
I believe I need to set up a private network address, etc. but so far no luck in doing so.
When the switch is connected to the internet along with the TC and PTZ cams they find each other with no problem.

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

What manual IP address are you using? Sounds like they still might all be on dynamic IP since they work when connect to your Internet (which I'm assuming is providing DHCP to everything).

    Hi DaveO,

I am far, far from being any kind of network expert, but have figured out some basics in order to connect TriCaster to other PC computers (for NDI usage) and/or NDI cameras, on my own little "network" or directly connected by single cable.

By default, the PTZ1 camera address is

Now, I don't know what happens when connecting two of them since I have only one, so I guess start with one camera?

Set up network (local, no internet) connection as shown:

Then in Windows, be sure that the network is set to PRIVATE and not PUBLIC, otherwise NDI doesn't work well, or at all!

To test that PTZ1 is being seen, go to Internet Explorer and enter and that should bring up the camera control interface screen, using "admin" and "admin" to get past security! I'm betting that once you get into that control panel, maybe manually change the IP address of that camera so it's not the same as the other one is?

Hope this gets you going, is a good start at least!

The default IP address ( is used if no DHCP server is found. If you manually set the address, then it will use what you have configured.
