Hello all,
My team has a newly-installed TC1 and MediaDS in our control room. We purchased the MediaDS to get away from using several laptops as streaming platforms via Wirecast. We need to stream to stream to several CDNs, including Facebook and Youtube Live, and - while I'm aware that the TC1 can simulcast - I'm personally more comfortable using standalone streaming platforms. Hence the MediaDS. That said, I'm seeing two issues that I have me scratching my head.
1) On the MediaDS, I'm only seeing about half of the various Facebook pages we need to stream to, whereas I can see ALL the pages when logging into the same master account in the TC1's Stream/Encode menu. Anyone have any thoughts on why that might be happening?
2) Regarding Youtube Live, neither the MediaDS nor the TC1's implementation of the Youtube Live API give the option to rename or edit the Youtube Live event. The only option seems to be to pick up where the last event on the selected account left off. I know Youtube USED to make you create the event before going live, then select that event in your encoder, but I also know they've updated that capability, because Wirecast allows you to create an event title and description (just like the Facebook setup). Any thoughts on when this might be added to both the TC1 and MediaDS software?
Thanks in advance.
