    Version History Question

Last week we installed 5-1-180313. Now I see there is a 5-1-180323 online, but no mention of 5-1-180313 in the read me.

I'd like to know what's changed since 5-1-180313 to see if it's worth going through the upgrade and testing process again. I'm guessing some of the improvements/corrections listed under 5-1-180323 actually appeared in 5-1-180313, but maybe I'm wrong.

    Thank you,
    Shane

I believe the main difference is a fix on TC Mini systems.

AE2 should all be good now

    · Corrected an issue with the Ustream streaming preset not retaining profile information in some situations.

    · Corrected an audio issue that could occur on Mini platform

So with this new AE2 we get back our capability for recording 7 or 8 streams?
and I guess the ease of using ivga is going to be gone....

I had installed the early AE2 and did not like the interface and went back to AE1.
At this point I am willing to take another look even though I have no interest in NDI.

Ed, it might take a little getting used to, but we have found NDI Scan Converter to be vastly superior to ivga in virtually every way. It has been much more reliable for us, and is just as easy to use - just launch the exe.

Yes, 8 record channels back for 860/8000 with latest AE.

Why do you think iVGA is somehow easier to use than NDI? NDI is just better all around. Embrace it! You'll be able to assign NDI as a source to ANY of the 12 input channels of your machine, not limited to "NET" inputs (which are gone now). And, you'll have four independent NDI outputs available for use on other machines.

    Thanks

Yes, Scan Converter is so much better than iVGA. I was skeptical too at first, but we don't miss iVGA at all!

And we haven't seen/heard any audio issues in 5-1-180313.

But back to the original issue, so we don't really need to upgrade to 5-1-180323 if we're at 5-1-180313 on our 455/460? In other words, all the important stuff from 5-1-180323 is in 5-1-180313?

    Thanks!

The new version of Scan Converter is really very, very good, and has the added benefit of integrated webcam to NDI conversion.

Is the Webcam to NDI Conversion in 3.5? or am I missing how to select it as a source?
