    Tricaster Mini HDMI Question

We have a Tricaster mini HDMI, and we recently connected a MAC laptop directly, HDMI to HDMI, to Input 1 of the Tricaster. The picture showed up fine, and looked good, but we weren't getting any audio from the videos we were playing off the laptop. We'll be trying a new HDMI cable today, but if that doesn't work, does anyone else have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

    Thanks!

Under the Mini's AUDIO MIXER tab, check source for Input 1 - is it set to HDMI or LINE?

If HDMI and level sliders are up and you still have no sound, verify there is sound coming from Mac - connect the HDMI from laptop directly to a TV monitor and check for sound there.

EDIT: If you can't get the HDMI working for some reason, consider using NDI Scan Converter app over the network rather than HDMI.

    Thanks

Also, press cmd+Space bar on the Mac, search "Sound" and go to your sound preferences, and make sure the Mac's output is set to your HDMI device. I know that sounds basic, but it's a step we've occasionally overlooked in my studio with the Mini!
