That's what I wanted to do anyway was only use the Ethernet jack. So a switch will work if it doesn't have WiFi?

Has anyone had any experience with the Cinegear Wireless Kit? I am considering purchasing a set for our sideline/field cameras.
We have an article in the Tip Jar blog on using Connect Spark to go untethered with your cameras: https://www.newtek.com/blog/tips/untether-the-camera/
Mobile Studios was using their Sparkmount kits plus a wireless access point that linked into the campus network for the setup they did for a school. For a kit that needs to travel, an outdoor long-range wireless router (possibly with range extenders or WAP antennas) could take the place of the built-in access point in that setup, so that you are essentially taking your own private LAN to any site.

We have the 150m kit. You might get 900' out of it line of sight, with zero other RF in the area, and on a day with low solar activity and at least one local TV station having lost power.
Realistically, it's good for a couple hundred feet, and even then, will have regular frame dropouts.
We tried to use it on a tradeshow floor once, and it was useless over about 50' away, indoors, in a room full of people.

Somebody needs to convince Teradek to make an NDI Bolt. I've had really good luck with their SDI and HDMI versions.
