My 850 DDR1 seems to be haunted! Spurious playbacks at random!

With a few clips loaded into DDR1 it randomly starts playing the current clip even though the DDR is not 'hot' on any switcher input row.

It may play for a short while, or a long while, or just an average length while, and then stops in mid-clip. And then after a while it starts to play again for a while, and stops again. Not cyclical, the intervals and playbacks range from less than 10 seconds to a minute or more.

Only does it if 'Autoplay' is engaged.

This would only be a minor annoyance except that DDR audio from the clip ends up in program audio output.

Why is the invisible man triggering my clips to play? Seems bizarre.

    Thanks in advance.

I tried searching the forums but the search functions seems to be 'or' terms instead of 'and' and too many hits turned up.

My first guess is that you are using a control surface and is t-bar is a little out of calibration.

Yes we are using a CS but the DDR is not selected on any row - so theoretically even if I pulled the T-Bar nothing should happen in the DDR - right?

Just for the S&G I will unplug the control surface and see if that affects the problem.

Check that all possible automation is turned off for the DDR, too - macros can be applied in several places.
