    Good to know, Tomek. I recently was in a very tedious situation because of another renderfarm service that failed in handling a scene mostly made of mdd files.
    I'll test your solution, hoping that I will not experience this kind of situation anytime soon !

    Bit late announcement here:

    RrenderBeamer for LightWave v 39 is out with full automated support for Lightwave 2018 and 2018.0.1!

    Take advantage of the new Buffer List, PBR Shaders, Multilayer output and more, and render hassle free on our farm!

    Hi guys! Pete here from GarageFarm.NET.

    We've been busy bees since the last update, and now we’ve finally released our new, v49 plugin for Lightwave.

    We've added many fixes and introduced new features, so I wanted to give you a shout.

    New features:

    - Rendering with Lightwave 2018.0.1 – 0.4
    - Rendering custom buffers sets (Lightwave 2018 - 2018.4)
    - Rendering arbitrary range
    - Rendering pre-cached radiosity maps (Lightwave 2018 and higher). This feature works with single and multi cached radiosity files.
    - Rendering multi-format outputs - now every render output can be rendered with different format setup

    Fixes:

    - We fixed an issue with doubling GI setup when Kray is used as render engine. Now our plugin automatically turns off Lightwave GI for rendering with Kray.
    - We blocked camera selector modifier. It prevented proper scene preparation with our plugin.
    - We fixed installer issues on Mac OS High Sierra.
    - Rendering without main output buffer selected is blocked.
    - We rebuilt the workflow for rendering with animated image sequences ( as textures or other assets ). Now we support them as .mov files instead of image sequences. Unfortunately, a Lightwave bug prevents re-linking image sequences during the preparation of a scene with our plugin.

    In case of Lightwave, the plugin list is quite long. You can check general supported apps list here:

    The easiest way to get information about supported plugins is to make a list of plugins you want to use and ask us on our webchat. We are on chat 24/7, and you don't need to register to use it. The farmer which is currently working will check it and give you all information.

    Also, there is no problem with updating or installing new plugins for LW on our farm. If your project needs it, we can create a custom installation of LW with the exact plugins versions which you need for rendering.

    hi Pete, sorry i didn't reply, i multitask tons, so sometimes (hopefully few) i forget a reply.

    thanks, this might be what i'll go for in the future, since different plugin versions (e.g. Dpont) work in slightly different ways.


    i've been curious about Octane render farms also, but they seem to be a bit of a hassle ?
    and probably much more expensive ?
