    Post Free Script: Search Layers

Another script some might find useful.

Opens a searchable list of the active object's layers, which you can then select to set as foreground / background layers. Also allows adding to the existing layers.

    Script:
    Search_Layers_v1.0.zip

    Video:
    Search_Layers_Video.zip

    Cheers
    Matt

    Why thank you!

I ended up demoing this and some other scripts (also on the forum) on the LightWiki Google Hangout:

    No reason why it shouldn't.

That said, there is an LScript issue when you have 3,000+ layers, it can cause a crash when the script passes that many items to the listbox. I'm tempted to put in a check for that, or bite the bullet and attempt a Python version (which doesn't have the same issue).

    Thanks for the info Matt.
I'll probably never hit the 3000+ layers mark (other LW'vers might though ) but it's good to know.

Ok - I had this error. I found out it's because you have gaps in your layers (i.e. layers with nothing in them and no name). To combat this I ran Kevin Phillips' Layers Plugin (A collection of layer tools - for moving, deleting and cleaning) which can be found here:
