Question Saved PFX: any troubles with AGE in nodal editor?

A user on FB is having trouble using the AGE parameter from "Particle Info" in nodes with a saved PFX file.

Has anyone else ran into such an issue? It works fine with "live" particles.

Is it possible PFX files don't preserve AGE? Or that Particle Info doesn't correctly read PFX files?

Hmm, I tried to recreate the poster's issues, but a PFX file seemed to function fine, although I didn't rebuild from scratch and WTFK what Layout caches or doesn't.

OTOH, along the way I saw other bugs, like the nodes working for ~ the first 2.5 seconds, then failing and just popping out instances of the same size. Twiddling the values significantly eventually kicked it back into working (the equivalent to hitting the side of a old fashioned TV), but.... meh. :P

I wish I found playing w/C4D as compelling as LW, but I think it's like a foreign language speaker forcing him/herself to write poetry in a new language: just not as fun.
