    Question Lightwave 64bit and Sasquatch.

    Hi Folks.

Quick question... I use the hair and fur plugin, Sasquatch, and really like it. I've always being using Lightwave 32bit just to ensure full compatibility as it's been mentioned many times before some plugins don't like the 64bit version of Lightwave. I've bought myself the Realflow Learning Edition for Christmas and it seems to be 64bit only so I'm considering moving up my Lightwave installation to the 64bit version. I'm just wondering will Sasquatch work ok in Lightwave 64bit?

If you download the latest version here: http://www.worley.com/E/downloads.html , the zip file for windows contains a 64bit version in addition to the 32bit.

I've never tried a 64 bit plugin that didn't work as advertised. Including Sasquatch. Of course with Sas, it only works correctly with the classic camera. You'll also need to come up with creative ways to cast shadows onto your geometry to avoid flickering. Ray traced shadows always look far better in lightwave than shadow maps.
All that is powerful or long standing is first conceived in the imagination; supported by the hope of possibility and then made manifest in our commitment of our current physical reality.

Thanks! I've installed the 64bit version and it all works well.

It isn't that plugins "don't like it" they have to be compiled for it. Scripts are different situation, in that they work in all bit-depth versions but may or may not perform as well in each.
