Question Image Editor: Image Sequence clones? Mystery numeral

Huh.... couldn't post on the original thread, maybe too old? Anyway...

    In this thread: http://forums.newtek.com/showthread....des-rock/page4
the op does a cool 'reverse explosion', moderated by an image sequence. In the Image Editor, the image sequence appears multiple times, I assume as a clone/instance.

My question is about those numbers following the image seq name:

Where did they come from, and what are their significance?

    tnx

I believe they might be named to indicate their start frames, it looks like flames and they might be starting at different times to give a flickering effect, just guessing.

But where do the numbers come from? They're all the same sequence, and there's no option to rename/make-an-alias for clones and instances.

And playing with the various parameters doesn't automatically add numbers to the name.
