    Newtek and new import taxes

    http://www.news.com.au/technology/ho...-1227341594378

So, with the above added 10% import tax looking likely for kangaroo riding Antipodeans, what will Newtek's policy be? To add it to the cost of a lightwave purchase?

I really don't understand why there are import taxes on 'digital downloads'.
Someone (the taxman) is making money for nothing, it's from server to computer, how is there an import charge......it drives me crazy.
It's like you pay VAT (in the UK) on digital books but not paper copies

Usually when you purchase online, the extra taxes are added based on your geographical location.
