Question Missing plugins and menu behavior-- change request?

Is it true that, if a plugin is missing, and it has been added to the Menu UI, that the application simply does not draw that menu box?

If that's true, I'd say it is not optimal*-- if there's a problem w/a given function, I'd rather it be highlighted rather than disappeared, since I might not notice it until I really really RILLY need it. No fun debugging the UI when under the gun.

I agree in principle, but suspect changing those behaviors probably requires "touching" too much code -- the "maturity cost-benefit" ratio would be unacceptable other than within the context of a major rewrite of the UX infrastructure.

    Well,
    1) it might not, and
    2) if it's too much, consider this a forward-going aspirational goal.

Personally, I LIKE my UI to remain static, so I see the same and am constantly reminded of their existence. I certainly want to know if they go away.
