anyone tested the bullet bone dynamics with bullet hard bodies? parts? and how they react if a tentacle bone will be able to smash in to a wall? and another thing I am curious about is if the bones react to bullet vortex forces and those other force fields? or is bullet bones limited to bullet deforming bodies at this state?

also the deformation motion blur is awesome! I do a lot of characters that are using mdd's, and it's way faster,

here is a test that in 11.6 it was 86 seconds,
and in 2015 it was 8 seconds!

again, I'm sure your mileage will vary, image based lighting on a mdd' character with PR motion blur, I am getting big speed ups!

QT= non-issue IMO, since rendering to a compiled format is just asking for trouble.

Pretty sure it's a LW thing. Apple doesn't support 64 bit.

True. I use qts as background plates for reference so having to remember to switch to 32 was always a pain.

Quicktime is still one of the things that you need to support if for no other reason that clients want to see files in QT for pre-deliveries in most cases. Being able to render a preview directly out of LW to a QT saves a step.

quicktime playback on windows using only quicktime components is 32 bit only....may come with a 64bit gui but still 32 bit process.

Only with custom .mov playback components (non-apple) can playback be 64 bit decoding....Adobe does this for PPro but if falling back to a quicktime SDK decode you are 32 bit

Is there what's new doc? Currently it's scattered all over the manual. Asking too much?

Well modeler has some cosmetic changes icon wise, and the multishift tool interactivity has improved quiet a bit. Color space in modeler is handled better and displays as expected for me now. I know it's not much, but someone is tinkering around in there, so I hope there is a modeler development explosion soon.

I made a number of attempts to make the upgrade from 10 to 11 over the years it has been out but every one of them failed due to unexpected expenses popping up. I'm going to try and make the move to Lightwave 2015 but seriously I need a financial miracle to land on my lap! And while I do want to make the upgrade, if I did find myself with some cash on hand, given other priorities in my life right now, upgrading Lightwave isn't top of the list sadly. But I will try...
No worries. Sorry to hear you've been unemployed for a long term. Good luck.

Not really, quicktime is very handy for fast previz, and lightwave is quite stable nowadays to simply run a vpr animation and grab and post to youtube without firing up a composting program and compile, and then you got baking of hypervoxels which I believe comes in handy ..and in fact the best to use apart from avi.
