    TriCaster SD-Stuck on "Please Wait" screen

    Applies to:TriCaster Duo, 100, Pro, Studio, Broadcast
    Problem Description and Steps to Verify/Reproduce

    TriCaster does not boot up properly instead it hangs on a screen displaying “Please Wait”, in this state the user cannot access Windows or the TriCaster software.

    -Verifying and Reproducing

    During boot-up, does TriCaster hang at “Please Wait” screen?

    If yes, then continue.

    Steps to Fix / Workaround


    Booting TriCaster into Safe Mode

    1. Start with the TriCaster powered OFF.
    2. Now Press the power button on the front and turn the unit on.
    3. Immediately after pressing the Power button, Press the F8 key repeatedly to enter the OS menu.
    4. The OS Menu will present you with a list of Start-up options including: Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, and Safe Mode with Command Prompt
    5. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to highlight “Safe Mode”, and then press “Enter”.

    6. It will then ask if you would like to “Launch” or “Restore” TriCaster. Select “Launch TriCaster”.

    7. A blue “Windows” screen will come up and ask you to select a “User”. Choose one, any will do.
    8. As the system boots in Safe Mode it will display a pop up window asking you to verify that you want to work in “Safe Mode”, Press Yes.

    Create a New User Account

    At this point you will be at the “Windows” desktop:

    1. Click-on “Start” in the bottom left and look under “Settings”
    2. Now click-on “Control Panel”.

    3. In the “Control Panel”, double-click on “User Accounts”.

    4. Click-on “Create a New Account” in the “Pick a task” list box.

    5. Type the name that you want to use for the account, and then click “Next”.

    6. Select “Administrator” account type, and then click “Create Account”.
    7. Reboot your TriCaster and let it Power Up Normally.
    8. Log In to the “New User Account” when prompted to choose an account.
