    Question Can a LWS (at a given time frame) be baked into a single object?

    I know someone who needs everything in a LWS scene at the current frame to be exported into an LWO. Can this be done?

    The documentation that comes with the LScript says that it works on the PC version of LW 9.6 but not the Mac. I have Ver 11.6 for Windows so I tried it. For the scene that I am trying to convert it runs for about 40 seconds or so and starts an instance of Modeler. Finally, a popup comes up that says "Failed" and no geometry is produced in either Modeler or the directory/file that was prompted for. Looks like this is a dead end so I'll keep looking. Thanks.

    How many objects need to be exported? The manual way would be to just do Save Transformed on everything and then combine in Modeler.

    Well you could alway export to fbx file and load into one layer. I often do it that way. of course you loose surfaces and instances, but all in all it works.
    Another way I use at the moment is to export an alembic file with octane. That way instances and materials are mostly preserved.

    All objects in the scene should be combined and saved as one object. There are many objects in the scene so I would need to do this to every object and then combine them in Modeler and then save a one LWO.
