    External Raid drives for video

    Hello,

What is best solution to have all video on external drives...it seems plugging a single external drive is useless and crashes speededit. Ideally sometime of Raid, maybe through giga ethernet (dont know what that is) may need about 4 or 5 GB working on huge production (maybe called NAS)

my computer is Asus G75V Intel i7 3610qm 2.3ghz (one grunty laptop)

    to recap...
I want a box full of drives, this box is my video drive, its fast etc

    Thank you William

I'd suggest looking at the Drobo range as a possible solution.

also, look into the GRAID portable raid solutions like 2 laptop HD's raided together in a small silver case...I noticed increased speedediting with those!
