OT - any good music production forums?

Can anyone recommend a good music production forum? Been trying to produce some EDM, for later use in a Lightwave project, but I'm struggling to find a good forum to join. I tried future producers, but seems all serious and bit quiet . Kind of need a Newtek forums for music production!

    Thanks for any suggestions....

    Hi Steve:

There are some fairly active forums that come out of your part of the world, hosted by the recording tech magazine, Sound on Sound. You can find them here:

Sweetwater also hosts its own forums at:

And, there's the Recording Website, from my neck of the woods. These forums are hosted by the Recording Institute of Detroit; and having its roots in Motown and its sound, they instruct in that tradition. Although, these are analog guys, you certainly can learn much that can be applied to any music production, including EDM. They are here:

There is a lot of activity on KVR forums, and I have gotten help and learned a lot along the way.

Thanks Paul, seems like a good site. Gearslutz.com is proving quite active too.

My brother is on there all the time and has made friends (and money) writing reviews for third party developers. Plus getting free licenses for the software, not a bad side job.

www.soundcloud.com - kind of like mayspace, but in a more convenient design; a lot of music, groups, etc.

KVR and Gearslutz seem best for general discussions and soundcloud for hosting and feedback. I appreciate the suggestions guys - thanks.
