Exclamation 11.6.3 : use of the Camera Zoom tool in Layout-- ? Multiple fails

When I select the CAMERA ZOOM TOOL in Layout, it:

    • IMMEDIATELY sets the Focal Length to 0.00mm (that's a REALLY short lens, in case you were wondering)
    • Puts an ENVELOPE on the Focal length, which
    • Prevents you from adjusting the focal length (Envelopes override this tool, for some reason)

Is it just ME, or does that seem a bit inconvenient?

Here's a good one: the envelope created by the Camera Zoom Tool doesn't appear to have any keyframes.

While I welcome the feature (static envelopes, been asking for that for a while now), there's no way to actually adjust the envelope. So, a tad limiting.

Yes, this is still broken. I reported this months ago. I received message from NT that this was resolved but not. As I remember this bug was in LW 10 too.

At the moment you can use zoom curves in the graph editor instead.

Yeah: almost impossibly lame. Allen Hastings would weep. (I'm pretty sure-- pretty sure-- that at some point the Zoom Tool was actually useful.)
