Wow Paolo, 2 weeks for that ? o_O

Now that has to be a joke, as your work is top notch, as usual !
Can't find anything to say than : "great work, guys". Nights have probably been really short during that production as there's really a lot of (great !) things in this movie for such a small period of time !

Congrats for the completed job, very well done.

    Cheers,
    Laurent aka Tartiflette.

Yeah I really think static people is the way to go for archviz, it's much less distracting and you concentrate on the building. My vimeo playback was a little staggered so it didn't look smooth and I couldn't tell if that was the intention or just vimeo. However it is a mammoth work and the renders are beautiful.

congrats! very well done! i agree: static people are working well in this animation - the additional 'live' atmosphere is generated by the soundtrack and some effective post-tricks. the architecture always remains in the focus, and that's what counts...

2 weeks ...but how many nights? ;-)

    cheers

eheh - no night but nearly all evenings
Anyway, if we had the time we would have made animated players (maybe we'll rework this in the future) and some moving people/cars in exteriors shots, but we really had no time for these things.

    Looks great Pavlov!
Is the firework made with a plugin(afterfx etc.)or real footage comp?

We used our 8 I7 renderfarm - plus our 5 workstations during night and WE. Times were not too long but i dont remember - from 20 to 40 min/frame.
Fireworks are real footage taken from youtube and clipped in AE

    Very nice. (As we'd expect.)
The lighting is perfect-just the right level of exposure without being blown out.
I hope you were provided with a model. Those windows and blinds would take a good chunk of your short turnaround time!

    Congrats Paolo! bello video.
    Some questions:
the bright lighting is a personal artistic decision or client based?
how you made the animated sky? (plugin or video like fireworks)
do you use instancer (dp), native or hdinstance?
do you use kray, lw render or both ?

    Thanks!

Very nice work Paolo, especially with that huge amount of time you had to finish that project How many people worked on that project in your company ?
