Instances using DoF... how can I get cleaner blur??

    Hi there peeps.

I've currently got a project where I'm using instances as LEDs for a robot's eyes and mouth... I'm currently struggling with the cleanliness of the DoF blur and motion blur on the instances. It simply isn't cleaning up as well as the actual geometry.

Has anyone else founda way to sort this? I've found the motion blur slices setting in the instancing panel, but this doesn't appear to make any difference to either motion blur or DoF.

    Any help would be awesome!

Hmmm... found some nasty strange issues using instancing.

If I have HDR Filtering ON when I render instances, they come out all blurred and horrible.
Anyone else noticed this, when using an HDR as a background??

My issue with grainy DoF has gone since I ticked 'Limit Dynamic Range' As the instances are LED's I chose to have them very bright, but clearly it causes ridiculous noise when rendering them with DoF. Shame really!
