    Version 0.09 is available

    here is the change log :

    • Fix : node not reporting to the controller if the node cannot report its cpu usage.
    • Temporary lws files are now placed in the \scene\ subdirectory of the shared folder, not anymore in the \LSR\ of the original file.
    • Node test the image saving path before runnign the job.
    • Node can report some types of errors to the controller, that can be seen form the job list in the controller.
    • Fix : Image Format always reset to JPEG.
    • Fix : image saving prefix is lost when adding the scene.

    Next version will have different way of rendering the tiles : left, right, chessboard, or center first.

    thanks to that center first, I managed to reduce the time needed for the benchmark Marbles from 9 min 49 sec to 8 min 09 sec (mostly limited by the time of the slowest tile)

    I didnt make any test for now, but I'll as soon as the base is finished and stable

    I just tried it with kray 2.5 build 1223 and it doesn't work. Lightspeed will use the lw native render instead.

    New beta version 0.10 is available

    •Add a "submit" console to add jobs from others computers in the network
    •Verify output file on job finished (for both split render and sequence render)
    • Save split render image from the image preview window
    • Clear finished, only clear finished jobs with verified image files
    • Add node preferences for "Automatically wake up nodes on job submit" and automatically sleep nodes on exit.
    • Add job preferences for "Automatically clear finished jobs" and only clear jobs if output image is verified.
    • Fix node can appear twice in list.
    • Add support to windows XP (Framework .Net 4.0)
    • Improve lws reading/writting
    • Fix problem in the setup wizard not functioning with certain network path
    • Add support to machine that cannot report there cpu usage, core count or mac address
    • Add choice of image to render in split frame mode
    • Improved compatibility with paths containing blank spaces
    • Add the choice of the priority pattern in split image (Top, Left, Center, Chessboard)
    • Reset a node (kill all jobs)
    • Restart a job

    Rendering a sequence. The "Creating jobs, please wait..." doesn't go away but after waiting several minutes LS does render the file. People will assume it hanged since it took so long for the render to start. Also have to force quit to make that splash text go away.
