    You need a perfectly working PC, there are enough problems besides this.

    As said above are all the PCs using the same Workgroup name.



    I have never got SN to work on my W5580 but I can almost do it blindfolded from any other computer! & my W5580 is perfectly happy as a Node/s.

    Will deal with the network once that PC is stable, ordered more RAM, though second hand off ebay, hopefully ok

    if some people are interested, I'm currently writting a software for distributed rendering of images and split images (with preview of work in progress) for lightwave (currently only 11.6).
    if some people want to test the beta version, just send me message, I expect first version to ba available within 10 days

    This is a way old post but is your render software up and running? I am building a render farm and need something good that is easy to use. Thanks

    it is still in beta, but also already usable. I would say, just try it, it takes few minutes an see if if fullfill your needs
