While Bevel++ is nice (and JettoBevel for folks on OSX who can't use Bevel++), IMO the existing LW third-party bevel plugins all suffer from interactivity issues due to their age, and the same applies for Fillet plugins. They're both cases where none of the available third-party plugins for LW offer what I'd consider a modern, interactive workflow/UX.

I do hope that modeler will recieve some TLC in v 12. There are many tools that do similar things that could be combined. Many need improving and making more interactive. Some of Modo tools are a good example and LWCAD's interactivity should be looked at. I cant speak for C4D but video's look great.

Bevel ++, Vertibevel and Jettobevel are great as a stop gap.

Understood, but if Newtek's looking for templates to work towards, I'd rather they use more modern examples that aren't constrained by old interactivity limitations, etc. The new tools David Ikeda made show that high-interactivity is attainable, so working from examples that exhibit desirable, highly-interactive behavior seems more productive than working from older plugins with limited interactivity (because that was what worked best in LW, back then).

I mean no slight to those plugins, they did what they could with what was reliably available to external developers at the time. It's just that Newtek has demonstrated those prior limitations are no longer as applicable in their recent development (as we've seen in Ikeda's tools). We shouldn't confine our requests within those outdated limitations either.

I think he's done enough, it takes a lot of time to record these examples. There needs to be an alternative option to communicate this feedback to the development team, I really think these videos are the best most direct method of communication in some cases. Can he just link to the videos in a Fogbugz report, I dunno?
100% agree - nothing beats direct visual audio communication.
