    Number 53

I'm in the process off creating a web gallery of all my 3D stuff and have re-visited some projects to complete them. For example, the Volkswagen I made a few years back was always intended to be dressed up as Disney's "Herbie" but I just never got around to it till now.

It's lit with a dome light and a HDR sky dome, the ground used a bit of weight map textures and also I used Sculptris to add some area specific sculpting. I finally got that "Bug" out of my system. It was the only reason I made the thing in the first place.

Love the detail, right down to the mud smears on the windscreen. Excellent.

I happened to work on the Herbie movie done in 2004. For your reference, here's a shot of the real thing:

That is a fantastic reference for dirt and grime, wish I had it before, although I was never a fan of the articulated eyes and bumper. May I ask in what capacity you were involved in the production?
