    Pass-Through in 3Play

I'm suggesting routing internally HD-SDI signal and passing it through to the available BNC row, for example a Composite-in. This 3Play pass-through would then allow a direct connect to the TriCaster inputs.

The 3Play pass-through would eliminate using routers, DAs, or other bulky fixes.

Just to mention it (I know it's not the same as what you are describing) in case it's been missed, 3Play's network output allows you to route the A and B outputs to TriCaster across a network connection.
