    Timecode on 860

Hi All, I have been asked some questions by a client about timecode on the 860 that I can't answer - and was hoping the community might be able to help out.

    1) Is the input of LTC timecode on the 860 still on audio input 7A?

    2) The QT recordings on the 860 embed timecode, right? It is not just MPEG2 recordings like it was on the 850 Extreme?

    3) If we are recording the program output on an external recorder (the customer is an Avid shop so want to record the program in DNxHD), is timecode embedded in the Tricaster 860's program output - or is it only embedded in the internal recordings you create?

    regards, Scott

    1) Yes, input 7A

    2) Timecode recored in either Quicktime or MPEG (not AVI or H.264)

    3) Timecode only on internal recordings, there is no timecode in the SDI output. If you are feeding timecode into the TriCaster, you might, depending on your recorder, be able to feed LTC timecode to it (KI Pro has LTC input for example).
