    It's too long


    So we've got ICE people and Naiad people working on an engine. Should be huge. I found it amusing that they said they were aiming for the non-specialist as well as the TD. I'll believe it when I see it.

    I also find it interesting that when people see this engine development inside of maya, that somehow it's integrated to only work with maya. The article clearly states that BiFrost is completely independent. I see these independent creative environments that also work inside other apps. as a fantastic progression.

    I think the annoyance is because they said at the meeting "The successor to Naiad was shown, now called "Bifröst", and has been completely implemented into Maya. When asked if it would also be implemented into 3DS Max, the answer was for 3DS Max users to not get their hopes up". So what we have here is a mixed message; BiFrost is completely independent, but only if you use maya

    Ha,ha,ha, nice job Mr. Speaker. So yah, this kind of babble makes little sense to me as well. Does it have some kind of SDK for pluging into other apps. or doesn't it?
