    Drainage systems (wooo!)

On Friday 16th August we finally got sign off on this animation for a client which had dragged on since April or May or so. Can't even quite remember when we began!

All models and animation are done in LW. Text in AFX.
All rendering is full Monte Carlo GI, 3 bounces I think with no interpolation rubbish!

We had to make this dull subject more interesting for the client.

    Thanks!
Renderfarm was Garagefarm. Great price for this job.

When I set it up, I was getting 3-7 mins a frame for Monte Carlo GI 2-3 bounce, at 1080p, on my local hex-core workstation. That's with LW Photoreal motion Blur and Photoreal Depth of Field too.

Really? How funny. I did a mograph piece for their abrasives dept a few years ago - pretty much a powerpoint 'conversion/upgrade' to AFX to show at a trade show.
