Not a big blender fan but I'd like to see where this goes.

I would love to see this render engine in LW, it feels fast and responsive. Blender doesn't support vertex normals so it's a no-no to use blender with CAD data.
Cycles is a nice GPU renderer and it's free, so why wouldn't we want that?

But LWG shouldn't put any resources towards doing it, let someone else do that. LW should just keep making it's renderer better. Blender is a lot of fun though, I'm attempting to understand its node editor at the moment.

Blender's Cycles renderer is nice, but it can't touch LW's. VPR is a zillion times faster, especially if you're only using the CPU or if you don't have CUDA. Cycles is going to get better, but for now, I'll stick to rendering with LW.
