    Bugatti Veyron

Here my test of new Nodes for Kray 3.0 package. I use only mathematics Nodes - no shaders (best compatibility and no problems with renders). Renders time i7 CPU 25 min - 50 min (only closeup was 2h).
I love American cars but Germany/Italian Bugatti Veyron is my number One on the list - I love this car and probably I will never drive it...why I rendered it. Generally I hate render cars (is nothing interesting in this) but sometimes I back to this subject for some tests. Post process AE.

What are the new nodes for Kray 3, are they something we can get now or only with the release of 3?

There are standard LW Nodes which since half year I try match to Kray (of course they works with Native LW engine render well but imperfections in this engine doesn`t allow receive good effect ). They will be release with new Kray as whole system. Also in K3.0 will be internal system of Nodes because some surfaces are necessary to be render from engine Kray (displacement, glass, anisotropic reflection )

Absolutely stunning and virtually photo-real. Only the poly edges on the closeup give away the fact this is a CG render, but lighting and materials-wise this is flawless.

Looks verygood, my nitpicks would be that color scheme (all white) doesn't suit the car very well (Veyron is usually 2-color scheme or color+carbon) and that you need to increase Subdivision level to avoid visible segmentation. Rest is very cool .

P.S. Not sure is it your model or pre-built but it has some modeling errors around rear wheel arches (continuity of roundness is broken un-naturaly around cuts and some seams are too small/tight).

Model is exported from max and I did not yet subpatched all polygons also some parts of car was not perfect (model starts be heavy during my "repairing/fixing" and I wanted concentrate on surfaces not waiting for reloading scene 2-5 sec when Kray must copy whole memory to his own buffer - but this will be fixed in next Kray , when Kray Engine will render straight from Lightwave buffer memory) .
Yes I liked also two color version (will be soon next render) but I wanted just compare to photo reference and use metallic color ...why is "mono" looking.
btw I forgot write: light only from old physky from Kray . I have big hopes for new Physky in New Kray where will be better behavior of fill light and colors

Bravo. They look spot on... apart from the close up, but that's been covered.

Get these bad boys over to the NewTek gallery! Very nice looking renders, and the background really sells it! Lovely.

Any details on the backdrop would be greatly appreciated. Are you using Smart IBL or anything?

That`s the idea keep simply and focus at the model not on background
I used only physical Sky from Kray - so no reflection trick - one click setup.

Here another surfaces and environment. I had to use displacement from LW which is really annoying ...but soon we will have real Displacement in Kray.

Much better looking color scheme, more Veyron-ish .
