    Hidden Layer's Surface names appearing in Layout Surface count, BUG

    I had a number of LWM Layers as work layers, HIDDEN.

    In Layout's Surface Editor, I noticed that DEFAULT was appearing w/several thousand polys, although there were no DEFAULT Surfaces in the 2 layers that were exported, unhidden, to Layout.

    It would seem that Layout counts polys and their Surfaces even when those polys are on Hidden layers and have not been imported into Layout.
    I verified this two ways:
    • changing the color of the polys in Layout-- they got changed in Modeler;
    • deleting the Hidden Layers in Modeler-- the Surface disappeared from Layout.

    I'd say that's a bug.

    But they have been. They may not be visible to the user, but they're in Layout.
    And have to be, otherwise Layout couldn't save objects without loosing hidden layers either.

    Cheers,
    Mike

    OK, that's even worse, since the user can alter them without the ability to see what's occurring.

    Yup... but it's the lesser evil. Having LW remove layers when saving LWOs would be even worse.

    Cheers,
    Mike
