    three ways:

    1) through the flicker plugin from thirdwishsoftware, who created the infamous lip-synching utility, Magpie.

    2) through the swift3d plugin from erain.

    3) running your finished animations through Wildform's flix flash convertor
    (http://www.wildform.com/flix)

the third way is the ultimate brute force way of creating frames and then doing a Trace Bitmap in Flash or running them through Adobe Streamline and saving them as individual illustrator files. but i wouldn't do that last one unless you are feeling extremely brave

Well not using one of the plugins you can buy for LW to SWF I would create your animation render it as an image sequence run those images through an image editing package E.G photoshop set an action script to save as and reduce the quality of the images E.G save as jpeg at a setting of low (1 or 2) the import the sequnce into Flash's time line as an image sequence (one frame per one frame). A few things to remmber are flash on the avarage web site plays at 12 to 15 frames per second so don't go setting your animation at your standard DV setting (if that what you usually output at, such as PAL plays at 25 frames per second)
You have to compress the hell out of it other wise the web site users will be in for a looooooooooong wait for it to load, hence running it through photoshop. You can from what I remmber import AVI into the latest Flash but the file size WILL come to haunt you if you don't compress it in between.

    hope this helps
