    Logo Particles

    Hi all
Anyone have any idea how they have made the Lightwave logo animation on the new tutorials? Is it flocking? Any ideas on how to set it up?
    Cheers

The logo anim is available in the download content under Instancing\LW_Logo_Animation. It's basically instancing, a bw picture of the logo, some fancy movement that's texture driven.

It's instructive to note the instancing is controlled by a bitmap.

This is interesting, I looked through the file for the instancing of the logo that is there, but I have a question on how I would go about tweaking it to do something else.

For example if I had a logo or Text created through these instances how would I transition from one text/logo to another.

I would want it to start as one logo and then once the particles are displaced to be reconstructed as another logo/text

So what I am asking is how I can I transition from one to another smoothly.

    Thanks!

Generally there's some nodal way to vary the influence of one node visavis another. It varies (IIRC) depending on the type of data being passed. For instance, some nodes have OPACITY inputs.
