The Real News Network is looking to recruit a technical producer for a full-time position. The producer will shoot and run a small video studio--switching with a tricaster--and conduct location shooting of interviews and news reports. The job requires working in our studios in downtown Baltimore. See for examples of video news coverage produced by our organization.

The Real News Network (TRNN) is a non-profit, viewer-supported, daily video news and documentary service. Its mission is two-fold: to provide daily television news imbued with verifiable facts, history, and context for an international audience and to serve as an educational and media resource for the greater Baltimore community. Since 2007, IWT's web-based news outlet The Real News Network (TRNN) has produced over 5,000 stories, which have been viewed more than 50 million times. The website,, receives over 40 thousand visits a day.

We are looking for someone with:
• Knowledge of digital switcher (we are using a tricaster)
• Diploma or equivalent in Broadcasting
• 3 years experience in TV broadcasting environment
• Sound knowledge in broadcast camera operation, studio and ENG/FEP
• Knowledge in digital TV formats
• Practical knowledge in video system conversion and compression
• Practical experience in Studio and Location lighting.
• Practical knowledge in digital sound recording system
• Experience in use of different types of microphones
• Skilled in Final Cut pro editing
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Ability to work with a team environment or independently
• A self-motivated approach to work
• The availability to work late nights (occasionally)
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
